Job summary

Moog Inc. seeks a Cost Accounting Process Analyst to support its Global Template program in a Hybrid Buffalo, NY setting. You will drive SAP cost accounting improvements, partner with IT and site teams, and deliver end-to-end processes across finance, controlling, and operations.

The role demands strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and experience in manufacturing or aerospace contexts, with a focus on standard and actual costing, cost center accounting, and WBS costing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 5 years in Cost Accounting, Finance, or SAP Controlling, preferably in manufacturing, projects, or Aerospace & Defense.
• Working knowledge of SAP cost accounting processes, including SAP FI/CO integration, cost center accounting, internal orders, project/WBS costing, allocations, settlements, and period-end close activities.
• Experience in cost accounting topics such as standard cost development, annual cost rolls, rate maintenance, and analysis of labor, material, overhead, and burden costs.
• Actual costing concepts, including analysis of labor, material, overhead, WIP, inventory, and COGS across SAP postings.

Responsibilities

• Identify, gather, document, and refine business requirements with site SMEs.
• Translate requirements into process docs, value stream maps, and system blueprints.
• Consolidate site-specific requirements into a standardized global Cost Accounting template.
• Identify, design, and implement Cost Accounting solutions within SAP S/4HANA aligned to business objectives.
• Develop end-to-end processes across Cost Accounting, SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling, and integrated systems.
• Support process improvement initiatives and optimize workflows.
• Participate in unit, functional, and system integration testing for SAP Cost Accounting and ERP apps.
• Ensure system configurations align with documented requirements.
• Execute UAT, training, and deployment readiness activities.
• Aid in go-live readiness and post-deployment stabilization.
• Facilitate master data cleansing and prepare docs: PDDs, PFLs, FSDs, test scripts, training materials.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, vendors, and integrators.
• Coordinate meetings and stakeholder communications; perform Agile backlog management, user stories, and retrospectives.
• Define, monitor, and report on business KPIs and performance metrics.
