Job summary

AKG North America is seeking a Technical Costing Analyst to prepare detailed product-cost estimates for quotations, new products, and engineering changes. You will translate designs into material, labor, tooling, and overhead assumptions and work with Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, and Finance to maintain cost data in SAP.

The role requires strong Excel skills, cost-modeling, and the ability to challenge inputs while supporting value-engineering activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Finance with manufacturing experience, or a related field.
• At least three years of relevant costing experience; or an associate degree with at least five years of costing experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed product-cost estimates from engineering drawings, BOMs, and production concepts.
• Validate material, labor, overhead, and other cost elements with cross-functional teams.
• Review and reconcile quoted, standard, and actual costs in SAP.
• Identify cost drivers and opportunities for value engineering and cost reductions.
