Job summary

Hydrasearch is seeking an Engineering Specialist in Stevensville, MD to manage item records, BOMs, routers, and manufacturing data in SyteLine. The role supports drawings, engineering changes, and process improvements, with emphasis on accurate product information and cross‑functional collaboration.

A four‑year engineering degree is not required; a high school diploma with technical training or an associate degree is acceptable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical training or an associate degree preferred, four-year degree not required.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, drafting, quality, planning, or technical environment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand how parts, materials, and operations fit together.
• Comfortable working in computer systems and learning technical software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requests through to completion.
• Ability to communicate clearly and recognize when an engineering decision is needed.

Responsibilities

• Product Definition: Create and maintain Items, Bills of Material, Routers, Marking Instructions, and related product information in SyteLine.
• Manufacturing Documentation: Use drawings, specifications, and inputs to create accurate records.
• Drawing & Technical Support: Read and interpret drawings and work with engineers to update information.
• Production Support: Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve queries.
• Engineering Changes: Apply changes to records and ensure alignment.
• Process Improvements: Identify missing information and coordinate updates.
