Job summary

GMi Companies Inc is seeking a BOM/ERP specialist to enter Bills of Materials into the ERP system, create custom BOMs and routings for special orders, and ensure builds meet customer specs. You will collaborate with purchasing, product development, and scheduling teams to manage changes and keep production on track.

Requirements include an engineering-related degree; APICS certification is a plus. SolidWorks and MS Office proficiency are expected to support engineering and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Understanding of BOM structure and labor standards required.
• APICS Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Enter Bills of Materials into the ERP system for standard and custom jobs.
• Create special BOMs and routings based on customer specs.
• Maintain part numbers per engineering BOMs and manage changes.
• Coordinate with purchasing, product development, and scheduling.
• Direct floor through material guidance for builds and verify parts usage.
• Modify drawings in SolidWorks as needed.
• Audit structures and item cards; support Kaizen and process improvements.
