Job summary

Hydrasearch is seeking an Engineering Specialist in Stevensville, MD to create and maintain product information in our ERP system and support drawing-related work as skills develop.

You will read mechanical drawings, work with engineers to prepare manufacturing records, and help implement engineering changes while ensuring information stays aligned with production needs. A four-year engineering degree is not required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; technical training or an associate degree preferred.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, drafting, quality, planning, or other technical environment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand how parts and operations fit together.
• Comfortable with computer systems and learning technical software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requests to completion.
• Ability to communicate clearly and recognize when an engineering decision or approval is needed.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Items, Bills of Material, Routers, Marking Instructions, and related product information in SyteLine.
• Use drawings, specifications, and inputs to create accurate manufacturing records.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and update technical information with engineers and drafters.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to clarify requirements and resolve questions.
• Apply approved engineering changes to product and manufacturing records to keep information aligned.
• Identify missing information and work with engineers to improve product-definition processes.
