Job summary

Office of the Solicitor, U.S. Department of Labor, invites applications for a trial attorney in the Plan Benefits Security Division (PBSD). The attorney will handle ERISA-related litigation and advisory work to protect workers and retirees in pension and health plans.

Candidates must hold a JD or LL.B, be admitted to a U.S. bar in good standing, and meet the post-law experience requirements for GS-13 or GS-14 levels, with LL.M. possible as a one-year substitute.

Qualifications

• Professional law degree (LL.B. or J.D.) required.
• Member in good standing of the bar of a U.S. state, territory, or possession.
• Two years (GS-13) or three years (GS-14) of post-law experience; specialized experience may be required.
• LL.M. may substitute for a maximum of one year of experience.
