The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of relevant experience, solid ERISA and Internal Revenue Code knowledge, and may hold a bar license in the applicable state or commit to obtaining one promptly.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
• Strong ERISA and Internal Revenue Code knowledge; tax/accounting background a plus.
• Active bar license in the relevant state or commitment to obtain one soon.
• Capacity to handle matters across corporate transactions and regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Counsel employers, plan sponsors, and service providers on benefits and compensation issues.
• Advise on transactions involving employee benefit plans and executive compensation arrangements.
• Assist with government agency matters and regulatory compliance.
• Manage multiple sophisticated matters with proactivity and sound judgment.
