Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP seeks an Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Senior Associate with 5–8 years of relevant experience. The position may be based in any office, with a preference for Milwaukee, Kansas City, or St. Louis.

The ideal candidate will advise employers, plan administrators, and service providers on a broad range of matters, including ERISA and IRC topics, and handle transactional and government-related matters. A portable book of business is welcome.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in employee benefits and executive compensation.
• Strong ERISA and Internal Revenue Code knowledge.
• Experience counseling clients in corporate transactions and with employers, plan admins, and service providers.
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters under pressure; strong written communication.
• Active bar license in the state of the applying office or a commitment to obtain.
• Portable book of business welcome but not required.
• Experience with AI software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise employers, plan administrators, and service providers on a broad range of employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
• Counsel clients in connection with corporate transactions and other significant business events.
• Represent employers, plan administrators, and service providers before governmental agencies as needed.
• Manage multiple matters with proactive, practical, collaborative, and entrepreneurial approach.
