Interlink Recruitment seeks an Employee Benefits & Compensation Associate for its Minneapolis office. The role requires 3–5 years of experience advising clients on executive compensation, qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and ERISA-related matters.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of employee benefits & executive compensation experience.
• Minnesota Bar admission in good standing.
• Experience with ERISA, ACA compliance.
• Experience with defined benefit/contribution plans, deferred compensation, and multiemployer plans.
• Experience advising on benefits issues in M&A and other transactions.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
• Handle retirement, health & welfare, cafeteria, and multiemployer plans.
• Advise on executive/deferred compensation and IRC §409A compliance.
• Counsel clients on ERISA, ACA, and Internal Revenue Code compliance.
• Support M&A and other transactions on employee benefits issues.
• Handle ESOP, withdrawal liability, arbitration, and litigation matters.
• Assist with IRS, DOL, and PBGC investigations and correction programs.
• Review employment agreements, handbooks, and separation agreements.
• Work collaboratively on sophisticated benefits and compensation matters.
