Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a dynamic associate with 2–3 years of experience to join its Executive Compensation and Benefits Practice Group in San Francisco. The position offers flexibility in location, with the opportunity to work in the San Francisco office.

The role focuses on advising on retirement plan design, health and welfare plans, ERISA fiduciary duties, and compliance, while supporting client service on sophisticated transactions.

Qualifications

• JD or foreign equivalent required; LLM considered in lieu of JD.
• Experience at an Am Law 100 firm preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials with strong legal writing skills.
• Admitted to and in good standing with the bar in the practicing jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Advise employers on ERISA matters and employee benefits.
• Focus on retirement plan design, health and welfare plans, and compliance.
• Conduct fiduciary duty counseling and prohibited transaction analysis.
• Handle IRS and DOL audits, EPCRS submissions, and Form 5500 reporting.
• Review vendor agreements and address transaction-related benefits issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys to deliver high-quality client service.
• Communicate effectively with clients on sophisticated transactions.
