Job summary
Fox Rothschild has an opening in multiple offices for an Employee Benefits & Compensation Associate. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience with executive compensation, qualified retirement plans, and health and welfare plans. The role requires a JD and an active license in the appropriate state. The office location is Minneapolis, MN, with proximity to Dallas and Pittsburgh options.
Qualifications
- JD required and must be licensed in the state of the office.
- Experience with multiemployer pension funds and welfare funds.
- Experience with qualified retirement plans (DB/DC) and cafeteria plans.
- Experience with executive compensation and 409A compliance.
- Experience with health and welfare benefits including ACA issues.
- Knowledge of ERISA and IRC compliance for employee benefits matters.
- Experience with ESOPs, fiduciary, and transactional matters.
- Experience with plan corrections (EPCRS/VFCP) and related programs.
- Experience handling IRS/DOL/PBGC investigations and related matters.
- Familiarity with employment documents such as handbooks and agreements.
- Transactional experience is preferred.
