Job summary

WorkCare in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Part Time Athletic Trainer to deliver industrial injury prevention services focused on total worker health. The role involves triage, first aid, injury management coordination, and ergonomic assessments at the site to reduce musculoskeletal risks.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, CPR/First Aid certification, and preferably 3+ years of relevant experience. A Master’s degree and ergonomic certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Science, Physical Education, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Must hold CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience in orthopedics, wellness, industrial/occupational health, or ergonomic experience a plus.
• Ergonomic certification preferred.
• BOC certified ATC, in good standing preferred.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, first-aid, and escalation of care as needed.
• Facilitate ongoing communication with all parties involved in injury case management.
• Support injured employees, monitor medical care, and promote reporting and investigations.
• Assist in finding temporarily modified work within physical restrictions.
• Help prevent musculoskeletal injuries through ergonomic analyses and recommendations.
• Provide on-the-job education to improve body mechanics and posture.
• Address total worker health and encourage sustained lifestyle improvements.
• Develop work-hardening and preventive agility routines.
• Maintain records of triage, assessments, and education.
• Collaborate with other WorkCare service lines.
