Optimal Solution Company is seeking a Process Engineer-Ergonomist to partner with production, engineering, safety, medical, labor, and plant leadership at the Michigan Assembly Plant to identify and reduce ergonomic risks. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in ergonomics, engineering, industrial engineering, human factors, kinesiology, occupational health, safety, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in ergonomics, manufacturing or industrial engineering, safety, or a related technical area.
  • Experience conducting ergonomic assessments and implementing workplace improvements.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
  • A master's degree, Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) credential, automotive manufacturing or launch experience, and familiarity with ergonomic simulation tools are preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and reduce ergonomic risks by assessing and improving workstations.
  • Analyze injury and medical trends.
  • Support new-model launches and process changes.
  • Ensure compliance with Ford ergonomics standards.
  • Promote employee well-being through data analysis, training, and cross-functional continuous improvement while supporting safety, quality, and operational performance.
