Job summary

MedVet is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Clinical Supervisor to lead the Clinical Services team during evening shifts. This role requires strong leadership, collaboration with departments, and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ER.

You will coordinate shift workflows, mentor staff, manage on-call duties, and escalate issues to the Clinical Manager. Prior emergency veterinary experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills required.
• Prior veterinary experience required; emergency experience preferred.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, rates, conversions).
• Flexible with hours and able to work additional hours as needed.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced ER environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Escalates issues to Clinical Manager.
• Functions as a scheduled Clinical Services team member within department(s).
• Collaborates with other departments regarding patient and client needs.
• Prioritizes and organizes workflows for shift.
• Directly manages Clinical Services team members on shift.
• Addresses schedule changes and performance concerns with the Clinical Manager.
• Trains and mentors new team members.
• Participates in on-call responsibilities.
• Participates in management or administrative meetings.
