Job summary

MedVet is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Clinical Supervisor in Campbell, CA to lead the ER team during evening and weekend shifts. You will supervise the Clinical Services staff, coordinate cross-department needs, and ensure efficient workflows in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Ideal candidates bring veterinary emergency experience, strong calculations skills, and a flexible schedule. This role offers competitive hourly pay with robust shift differentials and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience required; emergency experience desired.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, CRIs, unit conversions, etc.).
• Flexible with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Escalates issues to Clinical Manager.
• Functions as a scheduled Clinical Services team member within department(s).
• Collaborates with other departments regarding patient and client needs.
• Prioritizes and organizes workflows for shift.
• Directly manages Clinical Services team members while on shift including resource sharing, breaks and lunches.
• Assigns team member responsibilities per shift.
• Addresses process or employee issues during their shift.
• Communicates schedule changes and performance concerns to the Clinical Manager.
• Serves as first level responder to client concerns and drug escalations.
• Trains and mentors new team members.
• Provides input to Clinical Manager on team member performance evaluations.
• Participates in on-call responsibilities.
• Participates in management or administrative meetings.
