MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Clinical Supervisor to lead the Clinical Services team during evening and overnight hours. You will coordinate workflows, mentor staff, and collaborate with departments to meet patient and client needs.

• Proficient in calculations for medications and infusions

Responsibilities

• Escalates issues to Clinical Manager.
• Functions as a scheduled Clinical Services team member within departments.
• Collaborates with other departments regarding patient and client needs.
• Prioritizes and organizes workflows for shift.
• Directly manages Clinical Services team members on shift.
• Manages call-ins, departures, call-offs, and resource sharing during shift.
• Assigns team responsibilities per shift.
• Addresses process or employee issues during shift.
• Communicates schedule changes and performance concerns to Clinical Manager.
• Responds to client concerns and drug escalations at first level.
• Trains and mentors new team members.
• Provides input on team member evaluations.
• Participates in on-call responsibilities.
• Participates in management or administrative meetings.

We are looking for: Emergency Veterinary Clinical Supervisor

Hours: Wed-Sat 5:30p-2:30a

What you'll do:

• Escalates issues to Clinical Manager
• Functions as a scheduled Clinical Services team member within department(s)
• Collaborates with other departments regarding patient and client needs
• Prioritizes and organizes workflows for shift
• Directly manages Clinical Services team members while on shift which includes but is not limited to:
• Manages early call-ins, early departures, call-offs, sharing of resources, breaks and lunches for team members
• Assigns team member responsibilities per shift
• Addresses process or employee issues during their shift
• Communicates schedule changes, performance concerns and shift issues to the Clinical Manager routinely
• Serves as first level responder to client concerns and drug escalations
• Trains and mentors new team members
• Provides input to Clinical Manager on team member performance evaluations
• Participates in on-call responsibilities
• Participates in management or administrative meeting(s) routinely

Who you are:

• Strong communication skills
• Prior veterinary experience required, previous emergency experience desired
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written
