Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking an experienced ER RN Leader for Northern Virginia’s Level 1 Trauma Center, with sign-on and relocation bonuses. This full-time night shift role oversees the emergency department team, driving quality, patient experience and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has ED leadership experience, BLS certification, and Virginia RN licensure, with a commitment to Magnet-level care and cross-shift adaptability during orientation.

Qualifications

• RN with clinical leadership experience
• BLS certification required
• Virginia RN license or eligible to practice in VA

Responsibilities

• Front line leader accountable for delivering high reliability in Quality and Best Practices to improve unit operations.
• Lead by example in nursing practice and quality tools.
• Support unit governance and decentralized decision-making processes.
• Foster teamwork and maintain patient-centered care on assigned units.
• Promote Service Always and prioritize patient experience in daily work.
• Strive to meet unique needs of each patient and family on every touch.
