Job summary

Angell is seeking an ER-Triage Technician/Assistant to join the ER/Inpatient Services. The role involves triage for emergency cases, collaboration with front desk and E/CC staff, and education of staff on triage procedures.

The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team. CVT certification is required, with at least 3 years of veterinary technician/assistant experience; 1 year in an emergency setting preferred.

Qualifications

• CVT certification is required.
• At least 3 years of veterinary technician/assistant experience.
• 1 year in an emergency setting preferred.
• Experience with avian & exotics preferred.
• Clear communication is essential in relaying clinical information.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams on companion and exotic animals (avian, reptiles, small mammals).
• Assist with phlebotomy, IV catheterization, urine collection ( cystocentesis or catheterization), blood pressure measurement, and related procedures.
• Explain processes to clients clearly and educate owners about triage and care.
• Assist in training staff on triage procedures and basic parameters.
