Job summary

UC Davis Health is seeking a dedicated Emergency Trauma Technician to assist nursing and medical staff in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include ECGs, wound care, CPR, patient transport, vital signs, equipment maintenance and supply management, plus assisting with postoperative and cast care.

Minimum qualifications include relevant certifications (MA/CNA/EMT/Paramedic) and at least 1 year of acute care or pre-hospital experience.

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR certification required (AHA/Red Cross or UC Davis Health CPR).
• Certification as MA, CNA, EMT or Paramedic.
• At least 1 year of acute care or pre-hospital experience.
• English literacy and medical terminology proficiency.

Responsibilities

• 50% - Provides technical care to patients in the ED.
• 20% - Performs selected procedures.
• 20% - Front desk duties and patient flow support.
• 10% - Attends certifications, staff meetings and training.
