Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 60 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in Telemetry and the Emergency Department.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel; maintain professional nursing standards.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response; comply with EMTALA regulations.
