Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Evanston, IL. The role requires delivering safe patient care using the nursing process, and guiding patient/family education while supervising other nursing staff.

Must hold a current state RN license with BLS, ALS, and PALS/ENPC certifications within required timeframes; CEN and BSN are preferred. EDAP/ TNCC-related certifications may be required at facilities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certification on hire and maintained.
• Current ALS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Current PALS certification and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire and maintained.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct care within the ED Telemetry scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and document EMTALA compliance and abuse reporting.
