Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking an ER Technician to administer patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse in the Emergency Department. You’ll follow the plan of care, manage patient needs by age and diagnosis, and support smooth patient flow with a focus on emergency care for all ages.

Responsibilities include direct and indirect care tasks under RN directions, with qualifications in BLS, CPI within 90 days, and relevant EMT/CNA/MA or RN program progress.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association.
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire.
• EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required OR currently enrolled in RN program with 2 semesters of clinical coursework.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care to designated patients under RN supervision.
• Follow plan of care set by RN/physician and manage patient needs by age and diagnosis.
• Ensure smooth patient flow in the Emergency Department by performing direct and indirect care duties.
• Provide emergency care knowledge spanning infancy to geriatrics.
