Job summary

Emerus is seeking a PRN Days position in a 20-bed small-format hospital. The role provides technical assistance and supportive patient care across assigned areas, including vital signs, specimen collection, and lab testing in accordance with COLA/CLIA.

The position requires current BLS and ACLS/ALS where applicable, with various pathways including EMT/paramedic routes and nursing school, and will travel to multiple facility locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Multiple pathways offer entry, including nursing school or paramedic programs with ER experience.
• Certifications in BLS/ACLS may be required depending on market.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data and vital signs.
• Collect lab samples and perform testing per policy and COLA/CLIA guidelines.
• Assist with patient care as directed by charge nurse.
• Provide superficial wound care and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain patient privacy and infection control practices.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Travel to facility locations as required and participate in meetings.

3+ years as CNA with hospital experience (Wisconsin market only)

3+ years as Certified Anesthesia Tech/OR Tech (Wisconsin market only)
