Job summary

Rochelle Community Hospital seeks an ER Technician to support nurses and physicians in delivering high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and certification as CNA/EMT-Basic/Medical Assistant, with current BLS.

Training in Basic Dysrhythmia will be provided upon hire, and prior hospital experience is preferred. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong communication, teaching skills, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be currently certified as a CNA, EMT-Basic or Medical Assistant.
• Must be BLS certified.
• Must attend Basic Dysrhythmia course as soon as practicable/available upon hire.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Must show competency of those skills designated by the Manager of Emergency Services by written exam and/or demonstration.
• Must be in good physical and mental health, and able to work under pressure.
• Must have effective communication and teaching skills.
• The ability to operate designated medical and computer equipment must be attained.

Responsibilities

• Assist ER nurses and physicians in delivery of age-appropriate, quality patient care.
• Prepare and transport patients as needed.
• Operate designated medical and computer equipment.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort.
• Participate in CPR when required.
