Job summary

Baystate Health in Greenfield, MA seeks a patient care professional to provide direct bedside care in the Emergency Department. Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and writing in English.
• Direct patient care experience 1–3 years preferred.
• BLS certification required; EMT/paramedic background considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate patient care.
• Monitor vital signs and document patient data.
• Assist with treatments and procedures per RN/provider orders.
• Assist with elimination needs and specimen handling.
• Perform point-of-care testing and QA procedures.
• Support treatment plans and communicate changes to the team.
• Maintain clear, respectful communication with patients and staff.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with team on non-clinical duties.
• Support throughput initiatives to improve patient flow in ED.
• Ensure compliance with duties and safety policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized patient room.
