Job summary

Baystate Health is hiring an Emergency Department Technician for Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. This full-time role (36 hours/week) features day shifts from 7am to 7:30pm, with 12-hour shifts and alternating weekends/holidays.

You will work with ED physicians and nurses to provide safe, compassionate care and document patient data in the EMR. Applicants should have GED or HiSET and relevant certifications listed in the Education section.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, compassionate, age-appropriate patient care and documents vital signs.
• Performs phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and dressing changes.
• Assists RNs and providers with examinations, treatments, and emergencies.
• Communicates with patients and the healthcare team and documents in the EMR.
• Maintains a clean, safe ED environment and supports patient flow.
