Job summary

Emerus is seeking an ER Technician to provide technical help and patient care across assigned areas at our Fort Worth facility. You will take vital signs, assist with examinations, and support patient activities as part of a collaborative care team.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and current BLS; EMT-P/EMT-AEMT/LP certifications with relevant ER experience are strongly preferred. Some markets require additional certifications and travel to other facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Corpsman program and one year of applicable experience (OR)
• EMT-P/EMT-AEMT/LP and one year of applicable experience (OR)
• EMT-B with 1+ years ER experience (Oklahoma, North TX, Wisconsin & Pennsylvania markets only)
• Current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross required
• Current ACLS/ALS certification required in most markets
• Fluency in English; written and oral communication required

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data; take vital signs and collect specimens.
• Collect lab samples and perform tests per policies and COLA/CLIA.
• Assist with patient care as per charge nurse plan.
• Maintain patient privacy and safety.
• Provide wound care and aseptic technique; infection control.
• Assist with admission, transfer, discharge.
• Travel to all facility locations as required.
