Job summary

Emerus is seeking an Emergency Care Technician to provide hands-on clinical support across assigned areas, including vital signs, specimen collection, and basic wound care. Strong emphasis on patient safety and privacy with adherence to infection-control standards.

The role requires high school completion, valid BLS, and preferably ACLS/ALS and PALS, with experience in ER settings and eligibility for Las Vegas market licensure options. Travel to multiple facility locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with one of the listed clinical training paths.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current ACLS/ALS certification required in most markets; exceptions noted.
• Current PALS certification strongly preferred.
• ER/EMT or nursing-related experience considered.
• For Las Vegas market, specific licensure options apply.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data and vital signs.
• Collect specimens and perform lab testing per policies and regulations.
• Assist with patient activities and care per plan of care.
• Provide superficial wound care and patient safety measures.
• Maintain patient privacy and a clean, infection-controlled environment.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge as needed.
• Travel to facility locations and attend required meetings.
