Qualifications

• Technical degree or diploma EMT is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care as directed by the Charge/Registered Nurse.
• Initiates and reassesses vital signs including pulse oximetry.
• Ensures proper identification of patients and safety during transport.
• Performs phlebotomy in accordance with protocol and safety standards.
• Provides orthopedic services post CES orthopedic class and demonstrates competence in applying/removing splints.
• Performs EKGs and documents observations according to policy and procedure.
• Demonstrates professional practice of all members of the care team.
• Completes mandatory and unit-specific competency requirements.
• Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.
