Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician/Med Tech to support patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel and physicians. The role involves direct patient care activities, vital signs monitoring, phlebotomy, and orthopedic support after required training.

Applicants should have the appropriate EMT/AEMT/Paramedic credentials and a strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Able to read, write, and understand verbal or written instructions.

Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

Assists with patient care as directed by the Charge/Registered Nurse.
Initiates and reassesses vital signs including pulse oximetry.
Documents and reports findings to nurse.
Positions patients for examinations and procedures and assists with transportation.
Ensures proper identification of patients.
Performs phlebotomy in a professional manner according to protocol.
Provides orthopedic services after training per providers’ orders.
Demonstrates and promotes professional practice of care team.
Completes competency requirements and records observations.
