Qualifications

• Orientation completion and onboarding
• Ability to read, write and understand instructions
• Clear verbal communication with team and patients
• Maintain confidentiality per policy and HIPAA requirements
• Demonstrates compassion and patience with patients
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare workers
• Ability to cope with stressful situations including death and dying
• Adhere to Safety/Emergency Procedures and nursing policies
• Use equipment required for patient care
• Adhere to MLH code of conduct

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care as directed by the Charge/Registered Nurse
• Initiates and reassesses vital signs including pulse oximetry and reports findings
• Positions patients for examinations and assists with transportation
• Performs phlebotomy in a professional manner according to protocol
• Provides orthopedic services per providers’ orders after training
• Performs EKGs and documents observations
• Completes competency requirements and other duties as assigned
