Qualifications

Technical Degree or Diploma Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) required.
Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) or Paramedic preferred.
Emergency Medical Personnel Tennessee certification required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; AHA preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient care as directed by the Charge/Registered Nurse.
Initiate and reassess vital signs including pulse oximetry and report findings.
Position patients for examinations and assist with transportation and ID checks.
Perform phlebotomy per protocol and safety standards.
Provide orthopedic services after orthopedic training per orders.
Perform EKGs and document observations in patient records.
Maintain professional conduct and care team collaboration.
Complete competency requirements and other assigned tasks.
