Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for full-time, onsite pediatric care. The role requires BSN, Ohio RN license, and BLS, with 1 year of experience preferred. You will lead care delivery, mentor colleagues, and participate in quality improvement while using EPIC for charting.

Strong communication, organization, and teamwork are essential as you support families and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BSN required or must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
• Current RN license in Ohio.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC or a similar EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and direct nursing care with a family-centered focus.
• Provide care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients.
• Demonstrate leadership and professional duties; mentor staff as needed.
• Perform patient-centered care and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Support providers and promote team collaboration and exceptional pediatric service.
