Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Shift Coordinator RN-Emergency Department for part-time night shifts at Kishwaukee Hospital. The role leads daily unit operations, coordinates patient care, and ensures regulatory compliance, patient safety, and staff development.

The nurse will supervise staffing, support service delivery, and collaborate with managers to drive performance improvement and cost-effective care.

Qualifications

• BSN and RN licensure in Illinois.
• American Heart Association BLS.
• Telemetry competency and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Presents a friendly, professional demeanor and appearance.
• Provides accurate information and timely updates to patients and customers.
• Maintains staff scheduling per unit and PCS guidelines.
• Coordinates and monitors patient care to ensure patient safety.
• Oversees documentation of key clinical elements and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in unit/PCS teams, huddles and orientation of new staff.
