Job summary

Emerus, a leader in small-format hospitals, seeks an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in the ER. The role demands current RN licensure, English fluency, and at least 2 years of ER experience, with BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

The position covers day shifts on weekends (Fri–Sun, 7am–7pm) with a weekend differential of $8/hr stacked on base pay, plus 401K match, referral bonuses, and free parking.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree, required; BSN, preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions, required.
• 2+ years full-time RN experience in ER or other comparable experience, required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, required; TNCC preferred.
• Fluency in English; written and oral communication.
• Pennsylvania candidates: Act 33/Act 73 completed within the last 5 years, or obtained prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient nursing care appropriate for age and development.
• Document accurately and legibly on medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Follow physician’s orders in delivering nursing care.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform tests per policies and regulations.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques in patient care.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for diagnostic or treatment procedures.
