Job summary

WellSpan Hospitals seeks an Emergency Room Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years ER experience to provide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes age-specific assessments, careful documentation, adherence to physician orders, and patient safety throughout shift cycles.

The position requires state RN licensure, English fluency, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree is required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions.
• ER or related 2+ years full-time RN experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency for written and oral communication.
• Act 33 and Act 73 clearances within the last 5 years or before start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Room.
• Provide age-specific and developmentally appropriate nursing care.
• Complete accurate, concise documentation in medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and physiological status.
• Follow physician orders and deliver nursing care.
• Collect lab samples and perform testing per policies and regulations.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Admit, discharge and transfer patients as needed.
• Assemble equipment for procedures and support care per standards.
