Job summary

Fairview Range, part of Fairview Health Services, invites applications for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department in Hibbing, MN. This temporary to full-time role covers shifts as a charge nurse when needed and provides direct and indirect care in a high-volume ED.

The unit features 17 ER beds, telemedicine including Telestroke, and a multidisciplinary team. MN RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC are required or obtainable during orientation.

Qualifications

• 1 year ED or 2 years ICU experience preferred.
• If no ED/ICU, minimum 1 year critical care in past year or 2 years Med/Surg/Peds in past 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive surveys per policy.
• Identifies patient needs and nursing diagnoses for care planning.
• Develops care plans with patient, family and team.
• Provides age-specific direct care with multidisciplinary staff.
• Notifies physician of adverse patient conditions promptly.
