Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The position offers an hourly rate of $62 with requirements aligned to ER nursing certification and state practice standards.

As a seasonal RN, you will provide patient-centered care, collaborate with physicians and teams, and participate in education for patients and families. Expect 72 hours per pay period, weekend shifts, and holiday coverage within a 32-week term.

Qualifications

• RN license and certification requirements to be obtained within stated timeframes.
• Associates degree required for RN practice.
• ACLS/BLS/PALS and TNCC or equivalent must be completed within required timelines.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or equivalent within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Room.
• Assess and manage patient pain with regular reassessments.
• Document care accurately in the patient record.
• Translate medical information for patients and families to support understanding.
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plan, and post-discharge care.

Education

RN - Registered Nurse

Associate Degree

ACLS within 90 days of employment start date

BLS within 30 days of employment start date

PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of employment start date

Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year of employment start date

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention / Satori Alternatives Manag Aggr within 1 year of employment start date
