Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. The RN will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team, following established nursing models and standards.

The role includes duties such as pain assessment, documentation, and patient/family education, with a focus on rapid response to needs and pathway-based care. Seasonal staff work within defined shifts and are prioritized for safe patient care.

Qualifications

• RN licensed and in good standing.
• Seasonal RN program requirements.
• “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage” nursing model guidance.
• Must obtain ACLS/BLS/PALS within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
• Advise on healthy lifestyle changes and future self-management.
