Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room. The role offers a $62 per hour rate and focuses on rapid stroke response and sepsis detection using SPOT Technology, with an Enhanced Surgical Recovery program aimed at reducing opioid use and readmissions.

The RN will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborate with providers and care team, and advocate for patients and families while promoting outcomes aligned with our mission.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassess after interventions.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to provide exceptional care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
• Educate about non-medicinal follow-up measures such as diet, exercise, disease prevention, and self-management.
