Job summary

Astrana Health, Inc. seeks a per diem Emergency Department RN for night coverage in Tustin, CA. The role requires prompt, expert nursing care for life-threatening and emergent patients, with collaboration across disciplines to ensure safe, effective treatment and discharge planning.

Responsibilities include monitoring, medication administration, and coordinating care with the health care team. CA RN license, accredited nursing degree, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS are required; EMTALA/ESI-5 training

Qualifications

Active California RN license and nursing degree from an accredited program.
Current American Heart Association certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
Experience in Emergency Department or ED training program with EMTALA and ESI-5 triage training.
De-escalation certification required on hire; SAMA certification on recertification.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Department.
Administer medications and manage IVs, arterial lines, monitors, ventilator support.
Collaborate with physicians and staff to plan and coordinate patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients and families, and ensure discharge planning.
