Job summary

Astrana Health Management in California is seeking an RN for per diem night shifts in the Emergency Department at 14662 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780. Compensation is $54.85 per hour. An active California RN license plus BLS/ACLS/PALS are required, along with ED experience or approved ED training.

You will collaborate with the care team, monitor patients, participate in code responses, and mentor new staff while ensuring patient safety and quality care in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Active, current California RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Minimum 1 year emergency nursing experience or ED training with EMTALA and ESI triage training.
• English reading/writing/comms proficiency.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• De-escalation cert on hire; SAMA cert on recertification.

Responsibilities

• PROFESSIONAL CLINICAL PRACTICE: Provide patient care and medications administration including IVs and monitoring.
• PLAN OF CARE: Develop and revise short/long-term goals with the care plan for ED patients.
• COLLABORATION: Coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure ED throughput and safety.
• COMMUNICATION: Engage with patients and families with empathy and clear information.
