Wood County Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This onsite role emphasizes evidence-based nursing, patient education, and collaborative care planning from admission to discharge.

The position requires Ohio RN licensure by hire, BLS/ACLS within 90 days, and PALS within 90 days (ED, PACU, Infusion); NRP within 90 days (OB). BSN preferred, with flexibility in shift hours.

Qualifications

• Must hold Ohio RN license by time of hire.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• PALS required within 90 days of hire (ED, PACU, Infusion).
• NRP within 90 days of hire (OB).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Maintain accurate, timely, detailed reports and records.
• Individualize care based on patient values, preferences, and needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to achieve best outcomes.
• Educate patient and family from admission to discharge.
• Prepare, prevent, protect and support a culture of safety.
• Work hours per week as per offer letter or transfer request.
• Other duties as assigned.
