Job summary

Wood County Hospital in Ohio is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a part-time basis (3p-3a), onsite. You will provide evidence-based nursing care, perform assessments, educate patients/families, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Requirements include a Diploma or ADN, an Ohio RN license by time of hire, and BLS/ACLS within 90 days; PALS and NRP within 90 days as applicable. BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma Nurse or ADN from an accredited school of nursing.
• License: Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio by time of hire.
• Experience: None.
• Certification: BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire; PALS within 90 days; NRP within 90 days.
• Preferred: BSN; License: None; Experience: Two years; Certification: Specialty certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Maintain accurate, timely reports and records.
• Individualize care based on patient values and needs.
• Collaborate with other health care providers to achieve best outcomes.
• Educate patients and families from admission to discharge.
• Promote safety and respond to safety concerns.
• Work hours per week as per offer letter; longer hours may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
