Meadville Medical Center's Emergency Department is seeking a Registered Nurse for per diem shifts. You will coordinate total nursing care, triage patients, and collaborate with physicians to ensure efficient patient flow and safety.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS certification (or the ability to obtain within six months). Prior Med-Surg or ED experience is preferred. NIH stroke certification is expected to be maintained.

Competenze

• Professional nursing knowledge gained through an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider card.
• ACLS and PALS certification or ability to obtain within six months in ED.
• Six months of Med-Surg or ED experience recommended.
• CEN, BTLS are recommended but not required.

Mansioni

• Initiates accurate ongoing assessment of patients within the emergency system.
• Triages patients and determines priority of care based on needs.
• Analyzes assessment data to form nursing diagnoses and identify problems.
• Formulates and implements a care plan; evaluates outcomes; uses Meditech EMR.
• Assists physicians with rounds, procedures, and exams; administers medications including IVs.
• Adheres to established standards of practice and maintains patient comfort and safety.
