Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System's North Valleys ER seeks an experienced ED RN for a part-time role (24 hours/week) in Sparks, NV. The position provides direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department with acute and urgent care needs.

The role requires active NV RN licensure, 2–3 years ED or critical care experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certs. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered for experienced ED RNs.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License.
• Two to three years exp in the emergency department preferred OR
• Two to three years critical Care Exp OR
• extensive EMS background experience
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
• Current PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire)

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.
• Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients.
• Accurately assigns triage categories and monitors hemodynamic status.
• Educates patient and family regarding pain management and treatment plans.
