Job summary

Northwest Health La Porte is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The full-time, day-shift position involves patient-centered care, triage, and collaboration with the medical team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• Active RN license and BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe care

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the ER according to policy and nursing process
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor for side effects, document administration
• Assist physicians during procedures and respond to medical emergencies with CPR and code team participation
• Educate patients and families and maintain infection control and safety standards
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and participate in quality improvement
