Northwest Health – La Porte Hospital in Northern Indiana is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Room. The role covers day shifts: 7a-7p, 24 hours per week, providing patient-centered care and coordinating with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualificações

• RN license in state of practice (or compact licensure).
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• Experience in acute care/emergency settings is favorable.

Responsabilidades

• Provide patient-centered care using nursing processes.
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR/code teams.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and discharge plans.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Document care promptly in the medical record.
• Engage in performance improvement and audits.
