Job summary

Northwest Health - La Porte Hospital in Indiana is hiring a full-time RN for the Emergency Department to deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process and collaborate with physicians and staff.

Shifts are 12 hours at night for 36 hours per week; the role requires 0–2 years of acute care experience, an active RN license, BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred, and a commitment to safety and continuous learning. Tuition assistance and loan forgiveness programs are available.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• Active RN licensure in state of practice.
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process and policies.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings; reports changes to care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities.
