Job summary

North Okaloosa Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our ER team. This role provides patient-centered care using the nursing process and coordinates with physicians and staff to ensure quality outcomes.

Recent ER expansion with a full-time night shift (1800-0600) and a $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified RN candidates. 0–2 years experience strongly preferred; benefits include licensure/certification reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, and student loan assistance.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting required.
• Current RN license (state or compact) required.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within scope of competency.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in code team activities.
• Documents care and education thoroughly in the medical record.
• Engages in professional development to maintain clinical competency.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
• Provides patient and family education on conditions and post-discharge plans.
